LFA Soccer Fields
In addition to the soccer field at Alumni Field, the Lake Forest Academy soccer programs train and compete on two elite natural grass fields.
The school's high-quality athletic fields are used by many outside clubs and organizations, including the English Premier League's Crystal Palace FC, MLS's Chicago Fire, and local youth club FC United.
When weather prevents teams from training on the natural surface fields, LFA's soccer programs are able to use the Deborah MacKenzie Turf Fields.
- Irrigation and drainage systems were installed on the soccer fields in 2002 and 2003 funded through proceeds from the spring Galas, popularly known as the “Fund the Fields” initiative.
- All fields were raised, reseeded and resodded.
